CDCE participates in the National Study of Learning, Voting, and Engagement (NSLVE), which measures the University of Maryland's voting rates for federal elections. NSLVE is an initiative of the Institute for Democracy and Higher Education (IDHE) at Tufts University's Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life.

CDCE also works with Young Invincibles and the Students Learn Students Vote (SLSV) Coalition which discusses strategies to increase student voter participation and civic engagement through data-driven approaches.

In conjunction with other UMD groups, CDCE also helps the University with the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge and the Big Ten Voting Challenge. Both challenges are focused on registering students to vote and encouraging them to vote and become civically engaged.
