Isaiah Espinoza is a Ph.D. student engaging in research and study of government and politics at the University of Maryland in College Park. Isaiah takes interest in various domains of political study such as political theory and philosophy both ancient and modern, political psychology, public opinion, and political behavior. Isaiah's primary field of study focuses on the domestic politics of the United States (i.e., American politics) but also maintains familiarity with scholarship of comparative politics and international relations. Isaiah's secondary subfield is political methodology with special knowledge of survey methodology, questionnaire design, survey cognition, and survey data analysis. Isaiah has experience as an instructor teaching an advanced seminar on the social psychology of political polarization within mass publics, which covers topics such as identity, intergroup relations and conflict, and social cognition. Isaiah graduated from the University of Maryland in 2020 with a BA in Government and Politics.
